Dart Loop Sunday 31st October

Post by Paul French »

Dear All

A few of us a planning a one dayer to the Dart on Sunday 31st October. This would have to be a peer paddle as there won't be established leaders present - you'd need to be happy in and out of your boat in GII/III. So far its looks like we have one car load so far - but drop a line on the forum if interested.

The plan would be the Loop with a back up of the Cardiff WWC if water levels are too high or low.

Hi Brian et al.

Subject to water this trip is good to go. Consensus from the confirm bods - Me, Tim and Andy is to keep to the Loop this time, but obviously more than happy to assist with shuttles etc for anyone paddling the upper.

friday 38 mm of rain

Dear All

The forecast is looking very promising for Sunday at the Dart - there is a possibility of rain on the day (thunderstorms actually!).

I will keep an eye on the weather down there and also options on Cardiff.

Outline plane would be to arrive at the riverside at between 11.00 - 11.30 leaving Dartford area at about 07.00.

Watch this space for confirmation.

Seems it was below the ledge yesterday and there's not much rain forecast now except perhaps today.
Possibly consider changing your whole plan to tomorrow maybe? Just an idea. I'm sure it'll all go fine and maybe all that south wind will bring more rain than predicted?
Have fun whichever way you play it! :-)

What's up Brian?
Don't you want to scrape plastic off your boat?
