Ada,
we will probably take the grey open plus two paddles.
Will be at the boathouse on Saturday to confirm with yourself and Tony.

Andy,

You will have seen Teresa and the boys' names in Ada's list of kit booked for Sunday. However, don't wait for us at Hartlake. As we can't get to the river in time for the start of your trip, we will be doing our own thing. However, we intend paddling up river from Yalding and hope to meet you all somewhere along the way.

That is fine , we will see you on the river somewhere . If as expected we can't run and play at Porters Lock , we will probably spend quite a bit of time at Sluice Gate on the moving water introduction. Any help you can supply there would be much appreciated if we do meet there, but no worries if not.
Regards

You are very welcome of course. What boat do you normally feel comfortable in?

Folks
I will give out maps on Sunday , but for those starting directly.
Get on is the bridge over the Medway on Hartlake Road , Golden Green , (sorry no postcode for SatNavs)
As Seven Mile Lane is still shut I recommend getting there via A2/M25/A21 , then take the slip road off to the left onto the A26 (just before the A21 throttles down to single lane.
At the second roundabout take the B2017 (which I think is signposted to Paddock Wood)
Just before you get to the village of Tudley the road bends 90 Deg Right, right on the apex of this bend, turn left , this is Hartlake Road , which follows down to the river.
We aim to be there by 11.00 if possible
Please would all the drivers try to unload quickly, get changed and be ready to run shuttles down to Yalding. This will minimise the amount of waiting around for those staying at Hartlake. We aim to drive in convey but just in case the recomended route is to retrace steps to Tudley and follow B2017 to Five Oak Green, and then onto the A228 to the roundabout just passed the river bridge, straight over, first right towards Yalding village, over the railway line, the canal and park alonside the cut as near to the pub as possible to save carrying at the get out.
Looks like the weather could be showers, and it is likely to be cold in the morning, so please come prepared for this , especially open boaters.
I look forward to seeing all of you on Sunday.
Regards
Andy

Many thanks to Andy for organising yet another successful trip with special thanks to Tony whose van took FIVE kayaks AND the open canoe.
I'll post the photos when the gallery is up and running.
Interesting to see the effects of heavy rain and flooding on the Kent countryside.
