OK Folks

Let us try to plan for a 2 Star assessment before the lake cools off too much.

Can any of you manage Saturday 1st October, Sunday 2nd or Saturday 8th?

OK It looks like Saturday 8th it is folks.

We have Tim, Murray, Julia, Sandrine , and Will , and possibly Gabe.

I will be at the pool most Wednesdays if you want to practice particular skills, please come and ask me. I really would council you to do this because you do need to demonstrate them on the day with only a brief demo from me.

In particular I would work on the underwater skills, like peer rescues, because we all tend to avoid these (for obvious reasons) but when you do need them it should be an almost automatic reaction.

Please read the syllabus posted earlier and ensure you do practice before the date.

After re-reading the syllabus I realised that it was pretty much the bare bones with no standards or details.

Hi Andy,
Thanks for posting the details because I realised that I am not there yet. I will definitively need more sessions than the 2 Wednesdays left to be up to date so sorry for the misunderstanding but it will be back to what we had previously agreed i.e. that I will join the next in-depth training for the 2nd star before putting my name down for the assessment.

No worries, I understand your decision perfectly. I think you are probably further down the road than you think, but a few good training sessions should have you at the required standard.

Just a suggestion , you could come along anyway for the assessment and it would give me a better idea about the areas where you do need extra attention.
