Introduction to whitewater: Wales Nov 2016

Post by Martin Boardman »

We are organising an introductory level whitewater paddling trip to Wales for Meridian paddlers. This is likely to take place over the weekend of 19/20th November.

Participants need to be 18+, and a confidant 2* standard (though not necessarily holding the 2* award.) No white water experience is required, and new members will have plenty of time to master the necessary skills before going on this trip. If you have any concerns or questions, drop me a msg, or speak to me at the lake.

Please express your interest on this thread, via email to membership@meridiancanoeclub.com or via text (including your full name) to 07525 166465.
Once we have a view on the numbers interested in going, we can begin to work on arranging cover, transport, equipment and accommodation.

Martin.

Trip postponed - Consider booking for Barle trip

Post by Martin Boardman »

This trip has been postponed.

You will appreciate that the vast majority of club trips are run by volunteers. Unfortunately, a change in work commitments for the organisers means that this trip cannot proceed as planned. It is likely to be re-scheduled for early next year.

If you were looking forward to an introduction to whitewater, and cannot wait that long, you may be interested to note that there is a beginner level whitewater trip to the River Barle scheduled for October.

Get down to Yalding, practise your breaking in and out, and ferrygliding, and book up a place!
