Guys

After the 13km Tonbridge to Yalding paddle last weekend I am proposing to make the December 13th a shorter event.

We will play on the weir at Yalding , so getting in some moving water practice , then paddle around the "island" before going back to the Marlin site (river left just below Yalding road bridge) for a joint celebration with WAM.

We should all bring mince pies , or similar Christmas treats to share around, and be prepared to eat, drink (hot) and be merry.

Andy

Count me in!
And how about some warm (non alcoholic) Christmas Punch to go with the mince pies?

Hi Andy,

I really enjoyed the trip from Tonbridge to Yalding and have invested in a spraydeck since to avoid sitting in a puddle next time but, before counting me in for this one, what does "we will play on the weir" imply for a beginner?

Hi,

Thanks for the video. I'm not ready for the excitement just yet, so I will pass this one.
Have a great time.

Sandrine,
don't be put off by the video!
The water might not be there or so fast and if it is you can always watch from the side.
If you want to try ferry gliding

you can start at the back where the flow isn't so fast.

Will be at the lake on Saturday to answer any questions you may have.
