Folks
Dates have yet to be firmed up , but here is an idea of what the club's programme will look like for this winter.
October : Barle Trip . Organised by Di. Suitable for a first moving water trip as it is normally Grade 2, very friendly atmosphere in a camping barn in Dulverton
November: Tees Trip . Organised by Jack & Hannah. Standard will depend upon numbers signing up, this can be Grade 3/4 , or grade 2/3 depending upon which stretch of water we run.
December: Usk and Wye Trip. Organised by Nikki. This is normally our "Christmas" trip with a nice meal, carols, etc . Water is normally Grade 2/3
January: Dartmoor Trip . Organised by me. Smaller trip targeted at some of the harder (3+) rivers on Dartmoor.
February: Dartmoor Trip: Organised by WAM , we tend to tag along (together with Maidstone Canoe Club) Usually Grade 3 or 4 to choose from.
March: Possibly North Wales : Organiser yet to be decided.
More details as they become available.
If you would like to start coming on our white water trips then it would be an excellent idea to get across to do some practice at Lee Valley as the water is quite warm right now, and you can learn a lot of the skills needed in a "safe" environment.
