You will be very welcome.

The InaZone will be hard work, and I would advise getting a longer boat, but it is up to you. If you do bring the IZ then be prepared for it being tiring.

Andy
Thanks Andy for the warning. I am comfortable with my Inazone and I know I can roll in it with no problem.

I might not be a skillful paddler but what I have is stamina and perseverance hence I should be fine to complete the trip x

Guys
We will assemble outside the Trafalgar Tavern in Greenwich (SE10 9NL) at 10.15 , with a view to running the shuttles to Battersea (St Mary's Church SW11 3NA) at 10.45 .
Tim will shuttle the drivers back in his taxi returning by 12.15 and paddlers should be on the water by 12.30.
Although we have no fixed timing for the trip it is expected that we would be off the water by 15.00.
The weather forecast looks promising, but be prepared for all possibilities.

We are not planning to make a formal lunch stop , but you might wish to bring snacks and a drink with you.

I think those planning to come are

Tim H , Tony , Ada W, Fiona, Julia, Simon S, Ania S , Simon's father, Me,

Any others please let me know.

Please make sure that you book out any boats and gear you need with Ada B , and collect it on Saturday.

I also forgot Martin , so with Julia opting for the Medway trip , we will be 10 on the water , the forecast looks OK , so we are good to go.

Perfect weather and at Greenwich a bonus in the large shape of HMS Ocean

Arriving at Limehouse the wind started to gather and was a bit challenging , rather like paddling on ice!
Before Tower Bridge, posed for the usual raft shot..
Image
then decided to paddle through the central arch of Tower Bridge; another challenge as this is probably the busiest arch of the busiest bridge on the Thames.

Both Martin....

and Ada...

enjoyed their first Thames trip.

The 11.5 mile trip took 3 hours and by the time we reach Battersea Church Slipway most were tired but happy with completing a great trip.
Many thanks to Andy for leading and to Tony, Fiona and Simon for the boring shuttle work!

Many thanks to the organisers, shuttle drivers, and participating paddlers. A rare opportunity to see London from a new perspective, complete with tour guide commentary. Link below contains some photos from the day.
