Medway Trip : Sunday March 16th

Post by andy g »

Guys
I am planning a Medway trip on Sunday 16th March.
This is suitable for all paddlers who have already completed a Beginners Course , but it is specifically targeted at those members who wish to progress onto moving (white) water.

My plan is to run from Tonbridge (or possibly Hartlake) down to Yalding , running all the chutes at the early locks, and then use the weir pool at Sluice Gate to practice breaking in and out of the chute at the bottom.

This will be a full day out so bring packed lunches and drinks, and appropriate clothing for the weather on the day.

Please let me know of your interest.

Andy

I was right about Jeremy Paxman featuring the submarine last night. For those of you with iPlayer , here is the link , the trip to the submarine is about 5 minutes into the programme. It will probably be available for the next week.

Great ,
We now have 3 good coaches , so how about all of you who need to get some practice at moving water coming along and having a good day out , with free coaching into the bargain!

I may be able to bring the standard down a notch or two.

Maybe Sam and Timmy can role play being hapless newbies who don't know their elbow from their paddle thereby giving the 3 coaches an exercise in how to deal with awkward students?

I shall come as myself......
