Yalding Sunday 3rd Feb?

Post by andy g »

Anyone fancy a trip to the Medway for Sunday 3rd.
If we have enough cars we could run from Tonbridge down to Yalding , or Sluice Gate, or we could paddle from Yalding to Sluice gate and back, or just play in the weirpool.

Please ring me if interested

Andy,

I need to go for a paddle!

Instead of giving you a call, I thought I would attempt to stimulate some discussion here... Many years ago, when Tim was skinny (-ier) (maybe), I ran the Beult in flood. It's not a bad little ditch and provides some entertainment with a few bridges to duck / roll under, if there's sufficient level.

No doubt I'll see you tomorrow night,
Sam

Due to pollution on the Medway and various other problems, it has been agreed to move this trip to next Sunday 10th February.

Anyone know what the pollution and "other problem" at Yalding were?

Surely that's only of interest to people who are allowed to paddle at Yalding... ;)

Have I missed something here, the Medways always been disgusting, the other day my eyes were stinging just floating on it, has it managed to get worse? Must be almost like paddling on the lake
And who's not allowed to paddle on the big 'M'? Maybe Sam's just struggling to get a pass nowadays? not performing your household duties? or has OSB just bought a boat he can't fit in :o

Tim,

Nigel is banned from the Parish, and will be shot on site
we are actively encouraging Nigel to test this

I've lent the local landowner a gun.

Also, for the record, fat boy, I am not too fat for my boat. Or at least I wasn't too fat for it when I bought it in October... ;)

LV soon?
