Re: April Moving Water Trip?
More than likely, swimming first though so it'll be about 11 before we get there.

Re: April Moving Water Trip?
Is there still any demand for this trip? It looks like this week will be a wash-out, meaning that there will be options for the venue for this, should it go ahead. If we have paddlers looking for an opportunity for an introduction to moving water, I'm happy to be available this Sunday and at the la...

Re: Lee Valley Saturday
Peoples, make sure you book before you go to LV now as there are a lot of courses running and even the early sessions were booked out today, ended up hanging about for 2 hours waiting for a session. On another note the bottom stoppers back (in a way) but as I found out first run, its stickier than a...

Re: April Moving Water Trip?
I suggest we decide on a date, I'd swing for the 27th, and decide where we go the week before. Reason being, and as nice as it was floating about in the sun the other week, with only 2 openings in 4 hours its difficult to get your eye in and have time to relax into the learning, things will be worse...

On another note, I'll flag this up to my Dad, pretty sure he'd be interested.

Re: Medway Trip to Russian Submarine.
I quite fancy the trip but not the distance. 14 miles?? Jesus..... :D Giles I wasn't totally serious here -- personally I'm more than happy paddling this distance but I guess it might be a bit of a long paddle for those without much experience and total hell for all concerned if the wind gets up pr...

Re: Medway Trip to Russian Submarine.
Is there not a submarine on a mooring near rochester? Must be a launch spot close by, save a lot of paddling

Re: Medway Trip : Sunday March 16th
I've warned Tony many times about his lack of paddling and the chances of joint dislocation because of itIron Lungs wrote:Something about tearing a hole in his drysuit, as I understand it...
I think Tony's dislocated shoulder may have more to do with his lack of paddling.

Re: Medway Trip : Sunday March 16th
Gaaagh, may not be able to paddle Sunday, properly knackered my back taking little one swimming yesterday, I am very annoyed. I'll not be writing it off till Sat though, hopefully some evil pain killers and a Vietnamese sandwich will get me on the water, although rescues may well be pushing things
