Re: Medway Trip : Sunday Nov 20th
I'm taking a group of scouts from Yalding up to Sluice and back on the same day so I'm sure our paths will cross at some point. Be good to see you guys out there. Giles Barry and Malcolm's Scouts are doing Hartlake to Yalding too. We all joined up at sluice and then again at yalding. Did you guys m...

Re: Lee Valley (are you going?)
Spent the day teaching groups on it today. Was supposed to be flatwater stuff but they all had helmets on so we thought, why not? Great fun :-) I had no idea sit on tops were so good as intro to ww boats for people with absolutely no paddling experience. Loads of them made it all the way down withou...

Re: Lee Valley (are you going?)
Yep I did thanks :-) Spent both weekend days assessing then yesterday had a few cheeky runs of the legacy totally to myself and today had two quick charges down the Olympic before heading home for tea and medals. I think June was the only meridian member I saw paddling today although there were a ha...

Re: lee valley
Well done everyone today. Thank you for sharing your carnage with me -- I deeply enjoyed every minute of it
Oh yes -- and especially well done to you guys who passed the Olympic course assesement. It's really heartening to see that young talented ww paddlers are thriving within the club.

Re: Lee Valley (are you going?)
I'll be there Sunday all day, one way or another
Twenty nine minutes door to door last week -- driving reasonably sedately in a diesel landy. Thank you Olympic games!

Re: North Wales Trip 2010
Actually in my youth I always fancied doing Crib Goch so I'd love to walk Snowdon with you one day Andy. I'm ashamed to admit it but the highest I've ever gone on Snowdon is high enough up the Watkin path to be able to kayak back down the Cwn Llan waterfalls.... I've done Striding Edge countless tim...

Re: North Wales Trip 2010
Shame about the lack of water -- still, sounds like a great weekend was had! Crib Goch Brian? Bugger that! I've never done it but have done allegedly similar 'walks' and they scare the cr*p out of me! :-) Was there still something of a hole at the bottom of Serpents? If so, it goes if you charge it ...
