Wavehopper Challenge
Location: Danson Park, Bexleyheath.
Date: Saturday 18th June 2011.
Time: 10:00 hrs. to 14:00 hrs.
The Time Trial: Starting from the pontoons, paddle as fast as you can up the lake, around the island and back to the finishing point along the jetty. (Distance = 880 m or 0.54 miles). You may use any type of kayak or canoe for this event and if you wish to attempt the course in more than one type of craft you may do so. There will be classes in all ages and for all types of craft.
Wavehopper Challenge: This event will consist of two timed sprints along the lake. (Distance = 450 m / 0.28 miles). Wavehopper Kayaks will be supplied (you may need to share) or you can use other plastic kayaks which are under 4 metres in length. There will be classes for u10, u12, u14 & u16 (Ages are taken from 1st January 2009) and an open class for anyone who just wants to have a go.
Slalom: This will be a flat water, short course, non ranking slalom.
