Meridian Canoe Club

A big thank you to all those that helped out at the Meridian London International Polo event.

Thank you to the event organisers and officials, to the highly thought of cooks, and hot (and cold) drink providers. Many a bacon bap and a homemade cake was gratefully consumed!

Thanks to the litter pickers, clearer uppers, scrubbers (Hot water and soap type!), First aiders,  Gofor’s,  fixthis,ers,  volunteer refs and time keepers,  Club members, Parents and friends that all chipped in and made  the 2011 London International a successful weekend.

Well done and well played to all our Meridian teams who all put on a good show and put their very best efforts in.

Hope you all, players, supporters and helpers had a great weekend and enjoyed yourselves.

Chairman Meridian Canoe Club

Had a conversation with EA engineers working on The Medway weirs. The guys warned us that after the work of installing canoe passes and other canoeing facilities, the EA will be undertaking a crack down on BCU / Medway licences.  We would therefore suggest that if you are a BCU member and are paddling at Yalding you take with you your BCU card to avoid any further discussions. If you’re not a BCU member then its your decision if you choose to either paddle without a licence and enjoy a debate with the EA, or either join the BCU, or purchase a personal Medway licence.
